Traditional Osteopathy

What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is the practice of restoring the position and mobility of all structures of the body including bones, organs, muscles, ligaments to resolve pain and dysfunction. It is a preventative method which uses various manual techniques to return the body to health and function, treating the body as one functioning unit.
Osteopathy can be highly effective in correcting many ailments, including sciatic pain, lower back discomfort, headaches, shoulder and wrist injuries, and more.
"An osteopath is only a human engineer, who should understand all the laws governing his engine and thereby master disease "
- Andrew Taylor Still

Specific Adjustment Technique
Using an energetic impulse to reduce strain at a single joint. It is used to treat various forms of bodily dysfunction including pain, discomfort, and limited range of motion caused by injury or illness.
Myofascial Release
Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds your muscles and organs. Releasing myofascial tension and tightness promotes freedom of circulation and is helpful in treating a variety of conditions, including chronic pain, stiffness, and limited range of motion.

Visceral Release
Gently releasing organs that may be compressed, causing postural issues and referred spinal pain. Focusing on the internal organs in your abdomen, this manual therapy can help improve the functioning of individual organs, reduce stress, and enhance digestive function.
Craniosacral Therapy
This therapy involves treating the bones of the skull, face, and sacrum to help mobilize spinal fluid. It aims to release craniosacral pressure or restrictions, promoting recovery, overall health, and well-being. It can be beneficial for conditions such as headaches, neck and back pain, stress-related disorders, and issues related to the central nervous system.

Muscle Energy
Positioning joints to allow muscular release, joint correction and enhanced range of motion. Involving alternating contraction and relaxation of muscles, this manual therapy can bring relief from back pain, tension headaches, sports injuries and chronic pain.
